Barley is a cereal up to one meter high.
The great civilizations (Chinese, Egyptians, Sumerians and Assyrians) knew well the cultivation of this plant.
The Greeks and Romans ate mainly on barley (bread and soups), and again in the 1st century. Pliny the Elder could tell that in Greek cities the gladiators were fed with barley.
The “ORZO” apartment, of the “La Spiga” farmhouse, has an independent entrance, is welcoming and made with care. The colors are harmonious and relaxing. By staying you can experience the typical atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside, for short or long holidays.
Located on the ground floor, it consists of a very large kitchen equipped with a sofa bed, a large double bedroom with single bed, bathroom and luggage room.
